According to Newswire Korea, if any difference, exists between Samsung’s new XL2370 monitor and the $399 P2370L announced back in January. Both are 23-inch LED backlit members from Samsung’s “Touch of Color” lineup sporting a 2ms response and 1080p resolution. The XL2370 claims an ambiguous “finger-slim” design sounding very much like the 0.65-inch depth of the P2370L.

The only hard difference is the stated increase in dynamic contrast ratio from 2M:1 (P2370L) to 5M:1 — a pointless distinction most likely rooted in competitive hyperbole rather than any visible distinction you’d see in your home office. Regardless, the XL2370 will carry the title of Samsung’s “highest performance monitor” (which is saying something) when it ships to Korea in mid-July on the way to its European and “other parts of the world” debut in August.

The Samsung XL2370 is Samsung’s highest performance display and the first to incorporate LED technology, giving the model a super-slim profile and significant energy-saving benefits.

The crystal-like bezel frame of Samsung XL2370 with Touch of Color (ToC™) design reduces the reflection of light and glare. The glossy stand offers a polished design, while the clear, crystal-like acrylic neck gives the illusion the monitor is floating.

Samsung XL2370 offers a suite of eco-conscious features including reduced energy consumption, requiring about 40% less power to operate compared with typical monitors of a similar size. In addition, the product does not contain toxic-materials such as halogen or mercury by adopting a LED backlight unit. The ToC™ manufacturing process eliminates harmful paints and sprays, increasing the monitor’ recyclability. The slim profile also dramatically reduces transportation costs and requirements for a smaller carbon footprint.

Most mobile phones released this year will have GPS embedded within, but AT&T’s Samsung Propel Pro is the first GPS-enabled handset I’ve seen to also have an embedded joystick.

Headed for AT&T in April, the Samsung Propel Pro combines a non-touchscreen 2.55-inch display with a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard and an integrated joystick that “maneuvers 360 degrees”. This differentiating “optical mouse” is a feature we’re seeing more often with Windows Mobile phones though this is the first I believe with a joystick.

The 3.9 x 2.5 x 0.6 inch mobile device includes tri-band (800/1900/2100MHz) HSDPA and quad-band (850/900/1800/1900MHz) EDGE data speeds, GPS, the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard operating system, and Xpress Mail software which features email access to Microsoft Exchange Server and Lotus Notes enterprise servers, as well as POP3 access to Hotmail, Yahoo and other online personal email platforms.

Another interesting Propel Pro feature is DioOCR character recognition software which allows users to take a photo of, for example, a business card with the phone’s 3 megapixel autofocus camera and save the information in a text file. Other features include Bluetooth, a 528 MHz processor, 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of flash storage, expandable via an included SD card slot.

When it launches with AT&T next month, the Samsung Propel Pro will cost $150 after a $50 mail-in rebate in addition to fees related to a 2-year contract agreement.

The camera features face detection, scene modes, a Xenon flash and a smile shutter for good measure.

I guess this all depends on your definition of “full-sized”, but according to Samsung their N120 netbook will have a keyboard meeting that definition. The device sticks with the relatively standard 10.1-inch display found on many netbooks, but the company says that they keyboard is the same size as a 12.1-inch notebook. Considering that many netbooks offer 93%-95%-sized keyboards, the extra 5%-7% might come in a slightly larger device. I’m thinking the bezel around the screen might be larger than the current Samsung netbooks, but that’s simply a guess.

SlashGear says that aside from the big-boy keys, not much else is changed from prior offerings and that’s a good thing. Weight is estimated at 1.28-kilograms with a 6-cell battery. That power-pack is expected to keep you running for 10.5 hours as well. Samsung is light on specifics for the CPU, but does state that it’s an Intel Atom solution running on Microsoft (MSFT) XP Home Edition. Also known at this time: 1.3-megapixel camera, three USB ports, integrated Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, a memory card reader, two 1.5W stereo speakers and dedicated sub-woofer. Watch for product availability next month.

It first appeared in a stray MWC 2009 billboard, then mentioned in a press release issued by Samsung earlier. Now, the Samsung M7600 BeatDJ has finally been officially unveiled, and here are the official photos and specs to prove it.

Don’t disregard it as just another model that will be forgotten, because it looks like Samsung looked at music phones from a unique perspective to create this.

The Samsung M7600 BeatDJ is a new type of touchscreen music phone that features a unique user interface that Samsung calls the Disc UI, which goes hand in hand with its turntable like Spin Wheel for navigation. It boasts ICE Power technology from Bang & Olufsen, which should make for superb quality sound, and there’s also support for surround sound SRS 5.1 on board.

As a music phone, it of course comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and as bonus it will even let users create their own music and sounds via a built-in application that Samsung ships with the BeatDJ. The BeatDJ also supports adding effects and filters to side-loaded tunes.
But being good in the music front isn’t the only thing that the Samsung BeatDJ can do. It has a 3-megapixel camera and a 2.8-inch AMOLED WQVGA screen after all. Here’s a list of its other features:

* Dimensions: 112 x 51 x 13.9 millimeters
* 2.8-inch (240 x 400 pixels) WQVGA AMOLED screen with 16M colors
* 3 megapixel auto focus camera with support for geo-tagging, smile and face detection, and 15FPS video recording
* DivX and XviD format support
* Song and artist information retrieval
* FM radio with RDS (supports recording of broadcasts)
* Bluetooth A2DP
* 50MB internal memory with support for up to 16GB microSDHC cards
* GPS navigation
* USB 2.0 connectivity via microUSB port
* Quadband GSM/HSDPA data
* 960 mAh battery
