If you want to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS and have a Mac, you can now do so. Interestingly, we are hearing that Ultrasn0w, the SIM unlocker for iPhone 3G from the iPhone dev team also works for iPhone 3GS (in many cases). Once you have Cydia from PurpleRa1n, you can install UltraSn0w from there. The whole process takes about 15 minutes.

You can download it here: Available for download now.

It’s just one day to go before iPhone takes the market by storm and AT&T’s wireless network is struggling to match Apple iPhone services. I need to blare it that AT&T won’t be offering multimedia messaging and tethering options for the new $199 iPhone 3G S showing lack of networking juice. Last week while launching the iPhone 3G S, Apple had confirmed that it would offer both the features.

For those who are still in dark about Tethering, let me tell you it allows a wireless device to serve as a broadband modem to offer over-the-air support for laptops, PCs and the like. Well, most of you know that with MMS or multimedia messaging you can attach video clips, audio files, pictures etc. to text messages.

It’s no secret that I didn’t mind AT&T’s pricing of their 3G S upgrades. However, 3G owners were upset that they were not offered the same discounts as new customers or those who had not fulfilled their two-year contracts.

Well, good news for those 3G owners who are wanting to upgrade to the 3G S. AT&T listened to your complaints and published an open letter and YouTube video explaining that current 3G customers may be given much better upgrade pricing when the 3G S launches. From the open letter:

There certainly seem to be a lot of people “familiar” with Apple’s iPhone plans spouting off all over the place in these last few days before WWDC, and today they’ve chosen to whisper their sweet nothings to the Financial Times, which is reporting a cheaper iPhone will be announced on Monday at WWDC.

While it remains to be seen if consumers will think the Palm (PALM) Pre is the equal of the Apple (AAPL) iPhone, there is evidence fees paid to Sprint (S) for the Pre will in some cases be lower than what iPhone users pay AT&T (T).

Here’s a comparison of the costs, as compiled by BillShrink.com.

UPDATE: :Looks like the BillShrink guys got some of this wrong. Updated data below from AT&T’s web site.

T-Mobile Austria have added a placeholder for the “iPhone 32GB”, seemingly a version of the Apple smartphone with twice the storage of the current top-end model.

The handset appears under the carrier’s “Coming soon” section, though without any image, detail of pricing or specific launch date. Clicking on the “Details” button leads to a page with no information about the handset.

A new iPhone announcement has been tipped to take place on June 8th, at the WWDC 2009 keynote in San Francisco. Among the expected changes are more storage capacity, as hinted at by this listing,

Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) App Store success gave the other brands a kick in the backside to play catch up, then at CTIA we heard about new app stores coming to life.
