Here’s a fun gadget to ensure your cooking is up to scratch, the Digital Thermometer Pan. Absolutely Incredible, amazing gadget i ever seen..
Happily, one enterprising cooking geek put a thermometer right inside the pan, and a readout in the handle. So, now when the recipe calls for “medium-high heat”, and the pan reads “400 degrees F”, and your traditional Oaxacan Platanos Asados come out just right, you can mark down in the margins the precise temperature, and get it right every single time. Science – it’s all about being able to duplicate results. So is cooking!

Unless your work requires a maximum of megapixels, the most meaningful differences between your old camera and a new one have less to do with image resolution and more to do with the camera’s features. Newer cameras and more-expensive models support the RAW format, let you set manual exposure times, shoot in burst mode, and perform other tricks–but with a simple firmware hack, you can add the same capabilities to older models that don’t support them.

ASUS, after months of deliberation and leaked photos of the new sustainable “green” bamboo laptop, has finally announced the arrival of ASUS Bamboo series.
FYI, bamboo is one of the most eco-friendly and sustainable wood out there plus it feels good. (I even personally own a bamboo flip-flops, which I swear by)
Bamboo has been used for centuries over in Asia for furniture, architecture, you name it. I think bamboo will also act as a great heat-absorbent for the laptop itself while cutting carbon footprint of course.

Newest Rule 34 is so applicable to the the USB Angel Webcam.
But don’t take our word for it, Is it too much to ask that the camera be placed in a less conspicuous area? Anyway, the USB angel webcam is available for $16 (exclusive of the $5 shipping charge) over here.
It features maximums of 1280 x 960 (1.3 megapixels) in resolution and 15 fps. well good enough right? hehhehehe

The latest 15-inch laptop from HP arrives just in time to construct a huge impact for back-to-school shoppers in the current 2008.
The HP Pavilion dv5z captures the most recent AMD dual-core processors, spiteful edge graphics that massacre the antagonism, and a price that’s so spirited you’ll have a stiff time coming up with reasons not to buy this laptop.

Sooner or later, the cute bartender that was the only reason you ever went out to the bar in the first place, will be replaced. Robot bartenders are the future. No more half-filled plastic cups of Red Bull and vodka that only lead you to getting thrown out after an argument with the bartender regarding a drink that wasn’t made properly. These bots know how to serve and never have a grim attitude.
Asahi Beer has experimented with robot bartenders in the past, but it looks to have really outdone itself with its new Mr. Asahi bot, which just made its public debut at Selfridges in the UK. Apparently, the robot was built in about 200 hours and spent a full six months fine-tuning its bartending skills, which includes being able to serve customers in less than two minutes. That’s done with the aid of a discreetly-hidden PC that controls the compressed air and the robot’s various switching mechanisms, not to mention its pleasant demeanor. Be sure to head on past the break for a video of the bot in action courtesy of Channel Flip.

Here is another geek gadgets USB toy , the USB Owl. As we all know, owls are wise old birds, despite their questionable lavatorial habits. This charming USB powered Owl is the perfect desk-top pet – especially as he won’t fowl (groan) up your desk.
He turns his head and blinks his doey eyes in a random fashion, and can sit either on his little cartoon tree stump, or atop your screen in an eminently owl-like fashion.

People are getting the craziest ideas on where to stick USB flash drives. I’ve been having some cool ideas myself and this could eventually turn into a business, but one thing that didn’t even enter my mind was attaching a USB drive on a carabiner.
Apparently, Brando has though. The company that has become famous for producing some of the most bizarre USB-based products in the world has introduced a USB Carabiner Flash Drive thatyou can attach to your backpack or use when you go mountain climbing (what you’ll use a flash drive for on top of a frigging mountain, I really don’t know).
