According to Newswire Korea, if any difference, exists between Samsung’s new XL2370 monitor and the $399 P2370L announced back in January. Both are 23-inch LED backlit members from Samsung’s “Touch of Color” lineup sporting a 2ms response and 1080p resolution. The XL2370 claims an ambiguous “finger-slim” design sounding very much like the 0.65-inch depth of the P2370L.

Gadget Reviews - The iPod with camera is pretty much a given at this point in Apple’s evolutionary approach to its audio / video players. In fact, we’ve already seen iLounge’s confident rendering of an iPod nano with camera. Now we have the first cases with matching camera cut-outs (like that of the above) for the iPod nano in addition to an iPod touch case with similar cutouts passing through our tips box.

I first read on Nokia Mobile Talk (thanks Jorge) and then on the Guardian that Nokia will be announcing an Android-based device at Nokia World in September. The Guardian states their sources as “industry insiders” so I am not sure what that means and I have not seen or heard anything official from Nokia yet. Let’s chalk this up as a rumor for now, but an interesting one at that.

Well, well, there it is. The world’s first and only Snapdragon phone available for retail, Toshiba’s TG01, is up and dancing on Orange’s UK site with a “coming soon” badge. Soon meaning the July 9th London press event, presumably, where this 9.9-mm slate running WinMo on a 4.1-inch 800×480 pixel display should get a shove out the retail door. Yes, Windows Mobile 6.1, why do you ask?

Microsoft might not be launching a Zune phone just yet but its Zune HD player will pack a powerful Nvidia Tegra Chip. That means Zune HD is capable of running Windows Mobile 7 if Microsoft will want to cross that bridge when the time comes.
The Tegra APX chip that’s going to be used in the Zune HD is actually capable of powering future Windows Mobile, Windows CE or Android-based smartphones.

Quick! If you buy a Kindle book for your K machine or iPhone or iPod Touch, how many other devices can you download it to?
As described by GearDiary, the device limit can vary from publisher to publisher—and you don’t know before you virtually plunk down your money. You just might be limited to enjoyment of your book on just one gizmo.

By and large, LG’s announcements at CommunicAsia in Singapore this week have been straight-up rehashes of announcements from earlier in the year — the GD900, for example — but there was one diamond in the rough that should get a few people excited.
The GW550 is the latest fruit of LG’s strategic alliance with Microsoft to produce Windows Mobile phones, offering a 2.4-inch QVGA display, full HSPA with 7.2Mbps on the downlink, a 3 megapixel primary cam with a VGA sensor up front for video calling, and stereo speakers on board; the front cam immediately tells us that we can’t expect this phone to drop as-is on AT&T, but we bet LG would just love to put something very similar up against the Jack.

Major League Baseball is releasing an ambitious new product today, which we were the first to tell you about in April: Live video streaming of out-of-market games for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone and iPod touch.
Previously, you could listen to live radio broadcasts and watch live game illustrations, with in-game video highlights. Now, you’ll be able to watch the whole game, both over wi-fi and the iPhone’s 3G connection.

We just got to witness history, folks: Alfredo Rodriguez waited an hour in the miserable New York rain for the privilege of snapping up his Sprint store’s very first retail Pre at this evening’s invite-only Premier customers event.
The man paid in cold hard cash, and after a tedious 40 minute purchase process that involved a bit of activation, some nice tutorials, a quick address book sideload from his old Touch Diamond and whole lot of peripheral upsell, Alfredo was one of the world’s first satisfied Pre customers.
